Latest Nights.......
Most recently I have been working for various venues
throughout the country, including , Revolution, Rat & Parrot, Litten Tree's
Yates's and Que Pasa's as a Resident or stand in jock and Karaoke
host. I have played a variety of clubs and bars covering almost every
genre. I helped rebuild a Friday, Party night in a Luminar Club and moved
on last year, most of the venues I play call for an experienced DJ and a
wide variety of music as well as a good standard of mic work to create crowd
rapport.
I
was tracked
down and poached to be resident
on a Friday and
Saturday in the Empire, Milton Keynes largest club meeting a music policy which
was primarily Urban whilst maintaining a good hype and party style
atmosphere.. Prior to this I was delivering a general night for The Rat n
Parrot Club in MK I have worked extensively for Toad, Bar Med and Scottish and
Newcastle venues.
One of the nights I have
built was an 80's Night on a Monday with drinks promotions and the best
party sounds from the 80's. In about 8 weeks this night grew from nearly
nothing to a well attended good revenue generating night with no promotion. In
this same venue I saw the night through the change from 80’s party to R&B
and Garage, playing commercial urban flavours to maintain a good, friendly
atmosphere and large crowds every week, despite the early week slot.
Another type of night I
helped build was an All Request ladies night ‘anything goes’, Ladies
drink certain drinks free all night. Before I suggested this night there was no
set theme or branding, the night grew well despite rival club promotions.
I have DJ’d in City Limits,
Bowling Alley. This was a contrast to the club scene and broadened my
experience as an Entertainer/Host. Despite having a dance floor and DJ's
prior to me, no-one had ever managed to get people on the dance floor in this
venue. I did!!
Just Prior
I took care of Friday and Saturday for
The Bridge Night Club in Northampton, the format for these nights is primarily
commercial R&B and Garage although I am always prepared to cater for any
crowd here, I have seen it through 3 changes in management and a change in
license from Bar to Club.
My break into 'non mobile'
DJ'ing came when I ran Thursday night and Saturday nights in a busy party
restaurant, the venue had a late license and called for a huge variety of music
and a lot of microphone work raising diners to their feet to sing Happy
Birthday for VIP's etc.
I started mobile DJ’ing at 14
I am now
32.
My earlier experience
I ran a mobile disco catering for any age and any
occasion. I am well used to taking care of my own kit which has proved an asset
for every venue I have worked in.

Info
I have
moved into entertainment full time from a career as an Operations Manager in
sales and service and as a Trainer. Whilst this may seem strange to point out,
it demonstrates that not only am I good with crowds and ensuring a good
atmosphere no matter what the occasion, I am also very commercially aware.
Venue managers I have worked with have found this level of understanding useful
when working together on ideas for boosting a night and getting crowds in
earlier or longer.
